It not over yet?

Yesterday we had thunderstorms, it rained all day and the snow melted away. Woohoo spring is finally on the way- or so I thought. I woke up this morning and there is 6 inches of fresh new nasty cold white stuff on the ground and still coming down :( I'm getting cabin fever I want to spend all day outside, I'm starting to go nuts! I want spring so bad I'm looking forward to raking the leaves. Sad, I know. There is an awful lot of them- the tree just weren't giving them up last fall, they were still attached until well after the first snowfall- dead but attached.

Laura had a blog post the other day titled Names to Avoid. Since she is expecting I had a pretty good idea what it was when I went there and read it holding my breath. She had a list of names and the meanings, and I realized in 80 weeks of pregnancy I never once considered what the names I picked out meant. Thankfully neither of my kids' names made her list but it got me thinking and I had to look them up, lol.

Saige (variation of Sage) means healing herb or wisdom. Okay, I lucked out there :)

Rylan- this was hard, I really had to search on that one, which is good, it's different which is what I wanted. I found Ryland (and a couple that said it was the same) a lot which means dweller in the rye field. The only site I actually found Rylan on, says it means "island" Huh? Maybe it's not the best meaning but, at least it wasn't "one destined to be an idiot" or something equally bad.

Calvin was on her list to avoid as meaning 'little bald one" hmmm it's fitting for Rylan, he STILL has no hair (well except for three or four at the top that are freakishly long). Poor little guy given his genes he better hurry up and grow some because it isn't going to last for long.
